Mémé Watanabe

BSc(Hons) Nutrition Science is a nutritional therapist and functional medicine practitioner.

She is part of a collaborative group of nutritional therapists at Biohealth Clinic UK, where she focuses on gastrointestinal and brain health. At the Centre for Integrative Sports Nutrition, Mémé uses her inbound marketing experience and functional medicine training to look after the social media marketing by ensuring posts are relevant for sports nutrition practitioners.

Her previous career in non-government organisations resulted in burnout, so she recognises the build-up of stress experienced by her clients, especially sports people. She uses her 25 years of practice in mindfulness and personal self-development, together with nutritional therapy and an interest in sports nutrition, to help people understand the importance of the body-mind connection to support whole-body health.

Mémé received a Diploma for Health and Nutrition from the University of Greenwich and a BSc(Hons) in Nutrition Science from the University of Middlesex. She is a member of the British Association of  Nutrition and Lifestyle Management, the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council and the Association for Neuro Linguistic Programming.

When Mémé is not reading research papers or listening to interesting seminars on nutrition and health, she enjoys tennis, hiking and dancing.
