Fasting has become an increasingly popular strategy in health and fitness but how does it really impact sports performance?
In this informative and evidence-based session, we’ll explore:
- What fasting is and why it’s used in sport
- The physiological effects of fasting on energy systems
- Fasted vs fed training: benefits, limitations, and risks
- When fasting may support training goals, and when it may hinder them
- The role of nutrient timing in performance and recovery
- Practical strategies to align nutrition with performance
We’ll delve into how the body responds to periods without food and, more importantly, how nutrient timing can either support or undermine your training goals. This free webinar is designed for athletes (anyone who moves with intention!), coaches, and health professionals. We’ll cut through the headlines to focus on the evidence and deliver practical, actionable insights you can apply straight away.
Whether you’re curious about fasted training or working with athletes who are experimenting with fasting, the aim is to help you make informed decisions in a performance context.
