Clinic partnerships

One of CISN’s core missions is to train the best integrative nutrition practitioners within the principles of health, nutrition, exercise and lifestyle. In turn, we can help optimise health in a diverse group of clients: from lay individuals seeking a healthy and active lifestyle, including ‘Healthspan’, through corporate individuals wishing to harness the power of their mind and body, to elite athletes pursuing peak physical strength, power and endurance.

In line with this central pillar of practitioner excellence, we have partnered with likeminded integrative clinics, adding to their repertoire of services, in support of their clients and patients. These nutrition services are provided by our core CISN practitioner team of nutrition professionals, and it is also an opportunity for some of our Level 7 diploma graduates to gain clinical work at the end of their studies with us.

This set-up allows the partner clinic to add integrative nutrition, sport and exercise nutrition, health optimisation and Healthspan offerings to their clients and patients; services their in-house team don’t provide.

To provide a sample case study, the first clinic CISN partnered with was the Nexus HealthHub in Weatherby in England. The Nexus services include chiropractic, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, functional medicine, personal training and rehabilitation, and sports therapy. The owner, chiropractor Mark Kingham, and one of our Level 7 Diploma participants, embraces the integrative way of working with his patients: both in the way he thinking physiologically in his treatment, and also the way he collaborates with likeminded practitioner for the comprehensive care of his patients. He is indeed one of a kind musculoskeletal practitioner!

By way of a client example, Nexus HealthHub and CISN have co-sponsored a Masters rower, Karen Harkwick, who along with her team mates, is training towards the World Championships in September 2026. With some initial musculoskeletal rebalancing and education from Mark, along with some nutrition adjustments from CISN founder Ian, particularly around her training, she has already experienced improvements in health and performance. Not only has her gut health and energy improved, but she recently set a new personal best on the rowing ergometer and won a rowing race.
