Rick Miller BSc MSc RD is is a specialist lecturer on the CISN module Gastrointestinal Health In Athletes.

He is a Consultant Dietitian with over 20 years’ experience in clinical nutrition, specialising in hospital malnutrition, gastroenterology, and men’s health. Rick holds a Master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Nutrition from Loughborough University, advanced training in Functional Medicine, and is a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered dietitian.

Rick began his career in the National Health Service, where he completed rotations across multiple clinical areas including critical care, surgery, gastroenterology, diabetes, paediatrics, and specialist nutrition support. This broad clinical foundation underpins his current private practice, where he supports patients with complex nutritional needs and metabolic health concerns.

Rick consults privately at King Edward VII’s Hospital in London and leads Miller Health, a specialist service focused on performance, metabolic health, and men’s health optimisation. He has also worked extensively in elite sport, supporting athletes at Olympic and international level, and has contributed to published research in sports nutrition.
